Mr Saiful Chowdhury (SAC) LA Governor - Chair

Mrs Safeera Sindhi (SAS)

Parent Governor - Vice Chair

As a devoted mother of three, I am deeply passionate about fostering a strong foundation for my children’s education, which has inspired me to work within their school environment. This role allows me to directly support their growth while contributing to the educational community. Beyond this, my career as a pharmacist reflects my strong commitment to helping others. I thrive in roles where I can interact directly with patients, conducting face-to-face consultations, medication reviews, and addressing patient-related tasks and correspondence. This hands-on approach not only utilises my expertise but also fulfils my passion for making a meaningful impact on people’s health and well-being.

Outside of work and family, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me grounded and energised. My love for fitness leads me to the gym regularly, helping me maintain both physical and mental well-being. Personally, I describe myself as a confident and dynamic individual who thrives on challenges. I actively seek opportunities to step outside my comfort zone, embracing growth and self-discovery.

Balancing the demands of being a mother, a professional, and a homemaker has shaped me into a highly organized and resilient person. My days are busy and fulfilling, whether I’m managing household tasks, supporting my children, or excelling in my career. This multifaceted life has taught me the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and maintaining a positive outlook.

I take pride in my ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while staying committed to my passions and goals. Whether in my personal or professional life, I strive to make a difference and approach every day with enthusiasm and dedication.

Mr Manjit Heer (MH)

My name is Manjit Heer, and I am a proud resident of the local area, married with three grown-up children. With my experience running an IT business that supports primary education, I have developed a long-standing relationship with Linden Primary School, which inspired me to become a Governor. I am currently serving as the Chair of the Business Committee, where I aim to work collaboratively with the school to promote its services within the wider community. I am deeply passionate about children’s welfare and committed to helping them achieve their best, both in the UK and in the subcontinent, through various charity projects. My dedication to education and community enhancement drives me to support the school in its new journey.

Co-opted Governor

Mrs Sameera Esa (SE)

Co-opted Governor

I have been part of the governing body for many years now, starting off as a parent governor and now a co-opted governor and chair of the curriculum committee. The role is both challenging and rewarding and has given me a deeper understanding of the school environment. I have enjoyed being part of the school’s journey so far and look forward to where it is heading.

I work as a full-time pharmacist in the community and my role not only covers dealing with patients on a day-to-day basis, but I am also involved in the business and finance area of pharmacy. I have been able to utilise the many experiences and skills I have gained in my area of work into this governor role, to ensure effective governing.

I am committed to ensuring the children achieve their full potential at Linden and develop a love for learning.

Outside of my commitments, I have many hobbies such as travelling and reading.

Mrs Samantha Sanders (SS)

My name is Samantha Sanders and I work as a Year 3 teacher at Linden Primary School. I was previously a teacher governor for a school where I taught in Devon for about 8 years. Having the opportunity to learn more about the role of governors and school procedures was a wonderful experience. It helped me to develop a greater understanding of how a school operates on a wider level to provide a high-quality education for all pupils. Therefore, when a position became available at Linden I jumped at the chance as I love being part of the governing body who work alongside the senior leaders to ensure that all teachers and children are supported. I am able to interpret and assess, from an educator’s point of view, strategies and policies to be implemented. However by being in this privileged position I am able to hear the perspective of all the other governors who have a wide range of expertise helping to develop a clearer understanding of how to continue moving the school forward so that each and every child has a positive experience and able to achieve their very best.
