Children should not arrive at School before 8.35am. We do not provide supervision before 8.35am unless children are attending our ‘Breakfast Club’, so the children are still the responsibility of parents before this time. The children in KS1 should be taken to the playground until the whistle is blown and not through the school reception foyer. Please do not leave them unattended in the playground before 8.35 a.m. School starts at 8.45am; after 8.45am pupils are deemed to be late.

Children stay in the playground until the whistle is blown by a member of staff at which point they line up ready to enter the school building. Nursery and Reception children should be taken to their classroom by their parents and not left in the playground. We insist that all Nursery, Reception and KS1 children must be brought to school and collected from school by an adult.

We ask you to be prompt at the end of the day when you collect your child. We finish at 3.15pm and children get upset and frightened if they think they have been forgotten. The teachers also have many meetings to attend and work to carry out so they are not available to look after children who have been left. Of course, anyone can have a problem occasionally and be unavoidably late. If you find yourself in this situation, please contact the office and we will decide to keep your child in the office area until you are able to collect them. If you are constantly late when collecting your children at the end of the day we will charge you a fee of £ 3.00.
